Photovoltaics and solar thermal energy
The sun has an output of around 4 * 1026 watts. We use a very small proportion of this - with negligible operating costs.
The use of solar thermal energy is enjoying unbroken popularity in a wide range of commercial and industrial process applications as well as in large-scale thermal systems - for example for preheating process water in animal feed production.
We have successfully implemented systems with a collector area of more than 300 m² and an output of over 200 kW. In one specific project, a thermal energy yield of 146,000 kWh was achieved, thus avoiding the annual emission of over 50 tons ofCO2
