Research, development and innovation
It is our corporate goal to make the best possible contribution to climate protection and, accordingly, to provide our customers with sustainable, new and intelligent solutions. We therefore endeavor to gain knowledge of new products, technologies, solutions and concepts in the fields of renewable energies / energy technologies / energy efficiency / environmental technology at an early stage, or to participate in their development as far as we are able.
- With the brain power of our team of dedicated skilled workers, HTL, FH and TU graduates in the fields of mechanical engineering, heating and air conditioning technology, eco-energy technology, tool and fixture construction, automation technology, process engineering, biotechnology and welding technology,
- an extensively equipped production facility including a pickling plant for stainless steel components,
- and our many years of experience in the planning and construction of energy technology systems, ranging from single-family homes to industrial plants, as well as in the operation of our own heating plants,
we have both sound theoretical know-how and valuable experience in practical implementation and application.
Equipped with these skills and opportunities, we are involved on a small scale, but continuously, in primarily national R&D&I projects.
For example, we are also a member of the association of business partners of BEST - Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH (a K1 competence center of the COMET program).

BSAIO - Boosting Sustainability with Artificial Intelligence & Optimization
Funding body: Federal Government (FFG)
Research program: Research competencies for the economy
Topic: Methods of artificial intelligence, machine learning and algorithm-based optimization in the energy industry.

NEFI (New Energy for Industry)
As part of the national research program "Vorzeigeregion Energie", we are currently involved in the innovation network NEFI "New Energy for Industry" in the project "Industrial Microgrids"
Topics:
Exchange of energy across company boundaries
Waste heat recovery
Development of business models

COMET: Fuel Flexible Model Based Biomass Furnace Control
A project with/in the COMET Competence Center BIOENERGY 2020+ GmbH
Funded by the federal government, the provinces of Burgenland, Lower Austria and Styria.
Project objective:
Development of a modular CO lambda control system for medium-sized biomass furnaces, which always ensures operation with minimum CO emissions and maximum efficiency.
The developed CO lambda control was implemented in one of our biomass heating plants and evaluated under real conditions.
