Fresh air and the right climate
Controlled ambient air ventilation is standard in the passive (zero energy) residential segment. It is being increasingly used as an instrument of ensuring air quality in buildings. Combined with highly efficient heat recovery technologies, the operating costs will remain manageable.
In addition, climate controlled areas of private homes are becoming increasingly popular. Because cooling energy can be generated in so many ways – through the use of groundwater, direct steam systems, etc. – the individual demands of a location can almost always be met with an ideal solution. With the increasing number of hot days in the year, it is becoming less important whether the project uses air as a carrier or water as the medium to supply cooling energy, as in concrete core activation, underfloor and wall heating.
